Exceptional live videography from the Manchester based creative team.
It’s very rare that you hear great punk/hardcore bands captured well in a live environment. It’s such a difficult thing to co-ordinate, the technical intricacies of the the guitar work and double bass drum fills, alongside the twiddling bass. Not to mention the anthemic vocals and the general passion filled atmosphere. And thats just the sound. The boys at New Speak Productions have mastered that audio black magic, and mixed it will some pretty impressive video footage to create a winning concoction.
They have filmed bands such as Propaghandi, Strike Anywhere and A Wilhelm Scream, Bouncing Souls, who we all know are as energetic and passionate in their delivery as in the musical content. Fix your beady eyes on some of their videos below.
Propagandhi perfrom ‘Supporting Caste’ live in Leeds, UK.
A Wilhelm Scream perform ‘Less Bright Eyes, More Decide’ live in Manchester, UK.
Strike Anywhere perform ‘Amplify/Blaze’ live in Leeds, UK.
The Bouncing Souls play ‘True Believers’ at the Liverpool 02 Academy.
80′s inspired music video by the metal-core champions.
I saw this video, whilst flicking through some satellite channels the other night. Brilliantly executed. Fine Tune. And has that Beastie Boy’s fight “For your right…” 80′s thing going on.
This my friends is the greatest animation I have seen for a long time. Created by relative unknown Jérémie Périn, this video is the title promo for the new Flair’s EP entitled Truckers Delight. Lionel Flairs is a cockney parisian electro popping hybrid who creates some very listenable 80′s influenced music. No wonder the video is a grotesque homage to 80′s pixel art and 8 bit gaming. It’s rather rude in a manga-esque way but works rather nicely. Check it and prepare to laugh your retro brain off. Oh and be warned it’s not for the easily offended…
Wanted to spill your friend’s brains or ram a knife in their head? Now you can!
Once in a while there is a new thing that comes along and changes how we use the internet. A new web app that completely pisses over everything else, and laughs in the face of others that stand against it. Today we have found such genius with GROSS OUT.
Developed by the Black Axe boys, Gross out is an awesome tool to turn your perfectly pleasant straight laced friends and family into the brain spilling, blood drinking zombies they were meant to be. It plays on the premise of doodling on photos for amusement – just upload a photo and cover it in eyeballs, zits, slime and tons of other gross crap!
This could change society!
It couldn’t be more apt for the halloween season too. So here’s an idea, upload all your friends, “gross them out” and create your own house of horrors photo gallery!
This is a film I’m desperate to see released in the UK. Hotly tipped as this decades’ Blair Witch Project, Oren Peli’s super low-budget supernatural is simply about a couple who set up a video camera in their room to try and capture the strange goings-on they’ve noticed during the night. Straightforward. As you can see from the trailer it’s more about what you don’t see that is frightening, which is a noticeable change from the gore fest zombie slashers we’ve seen of late.
It was released this past weekend in the US, and it absolutely destroyed other releases such as Where the Wild Things Are, Astro Boy and the mundane SAW VI, by raking in a massive $22 million. A damn good profit, considering it only cost $11,000 to make.
On the Paranormal Activity site you can read all about the 1 million fans that demanded this film be screened in their towns and watch the other trailers.
Our awesome brothers over at Thunder Chunky have teamed up with Vannen in a Halloween giveaway.
